Welcome, Future Bride! Below, you'll find answers to frequently asked questions about bridal hair and makeup. I've included helpful tips and information on everything from booking to choosing the perfect hairstyle. I look forward to working with you on your special day!

  • How do I book you for my wedding day hair?

To secure your date, both a signed contract and a 50% of non-refundable, non-transferable deposit are required.

**Please note, I do not offer soft-holds on dates to ensure fairness to all brides.**

How far in advance should I book hair services for my wedding?

Book as soon as you know your date! My weekend availability often fills up a year in advance due to its popularity for weddings. If you like my work, get in touch with me as soon as possible.

Is there a minimum booking requirement?

Yes, for Saturday-Sunday weddings, there is a minimum booking of £600 including the Bride, excluding travel, valet parking, second stylist, and holiday rates. (For any bookings outside of London, check below)

Can I book the minimum services now and add more later?

Once the contract is signed, the number of services cannot be decreased. If you want to add more services later, I will accommodate the request if a second stylist is available. If not, additional services cannot be added. It's important to provide an accurate count of services as early as possible.

Will you travel for a wedding outside of London, UK?

Yes, I do destination weddings. A travel fee will apply. If the location is 1.5 hours or more away, hotel accommodation is required.

For destination weddings, accommodations such as flights, meals, and hotel are necessary.

Minimum booking fee of £800 is required for a wedding outside of London, excluding travel and overnight fee.

Can I add on more makeup/ hair services on the day of the wedding?

Additional services can only be added on the day if time permits after all contracted services are completed.

Do you provide hourly touch-up services?

Yes, I offer hourly makeup and hair touch-up services for you and your bridal party, veil placement adjustments, and a second makeup and hair change (additional rate applies for second hair/makeup change).

Do you leave and come back to do reception touch-ups and a second hair change?

No, touch-ups start at the end of the contracted services.

Can you accommodate a large bridal party?

Yes, if additional stylists are available. Additional stylist fees, travel, and parking may apply.

    What other fees may apply?

Additional fees may include travel, valet parking, second stylist, early morning convenience, and holiday rates.

Do you offer large group discounts or military discounts?

No discounts are offered at this time.

  • Is a hair preview required for booking my wedding date?

Yes, a hair preview is strongly recommended for all brides. Everyone has unique hair concerns, whether thin or thick, short or long, frizzy or silky. Additionally, head shapes and hair textures vary.

The preview session allows us to collaborate on your perfect look, test the style's longevity, and make any necessary adjustments for your wedding day.

Without a preview, we may not have enough time to make changes on the day of the event.

Can I do a hair/makeup preview first and then book my wedding date?

Absolutely! Please make sure to confirm your wedding date with me in advance.

How far in advance should I book my preview appointment?

It's best to schedule your preview appointment 3-6 months before your wedding date.

I would like to try hair down and an updo at my preview. Is this possible?

Your preview includes 1-2 customized hairstyles and lasts 2-3 hours, depending on whether you are doing both makeup and hair or just hair.

We can certainly try a second style if it can be easily transitioned from the first.

Can I bring children and pets to my preview appointment?

For liability reasons, children and pets are not allowed at the preview appointment.

Do you recommend booking my hair preview on the same day as another event, such as a bridal shower or engagement party?

It's entirely up to you, and I recommend it. It's a fantastic way to see how long the style lasts.

  • How should I prep my face and hair for my appointment?

    * For your face: Ensure your skin is prepped for the big day. I'll provide a tailored preparation guide during your preview after analyzing your skin and hair. Keep your lips hydrated with lip balm until the wedding day to prevent flakiness.

    * For your hair: Arrive with clean, dry hair (preferably washed the night before or in the morning). If you have curly hair and want a smooth style, blow dry it straight without using a flat iron to maintain style longevity.

    * Regarding skincare: Moisturize your face with toner and a light lotion, avoiding heavy creams or sunscreen. Skip facial masks on your wedding day as they may impact your skin's longevity.

I heard styling hair is easier when hair is dirty.

False. With today's styling products, it's easier for stylists to add texture and grip than deal with greasy locks.

What should I look for when I search for hair inspiration photos?

Look for hairstyles matching your hair colour, texture, and length. This gives you a realistic idea of how your hair might look.

My hair is stick straight and doesn’t hold curls well. Can I still do a half-up style or wear my hair down with curls?

Short answer: If your hair's stubbornly straight, no amount of products or techniques can guarantee curls will last all day. Consider an updo or whimsical braided style for longer-lasting results.

But I really want to see if my hair can hold curls. What can I do?

Option 1: Bring 100% real human hair clip-in extensions to your hair preview. They can help with curl longevity.

Option 2: Sometimes healthy or over-processed hair struggles with curls. Adding highlights or layers might help. A hair preview can determine if this style's right for you.

What kind of clip-in extensions should I buy?

Ensure they're 100% human hair. Synthetic won't curl and will melt with hot tools.
